OSTHOFEN

© Eßmann Gärtner Nieper Architekten GbR

The new school building is planned as a compact two-storey building with two wings opening to the east. The new gymnasium is also designed as a compact two-storey building with an adjoining hall section. The roof of both buildings is designed as a flat roof or slightly pitched roof, with a rising parapet approx. 0.5 – 0.75 m high and external drainage. The roof areas will be greened and some will be fitted with a PV system. The roof of the gymnasium itself is spanned by approx. 1.70 m high wooden trusses, on which an acoustically effective trapezoidal sheet metal roof structure closes off the interior. The shell of both buildings is a solid reinforced concrete construction with load-bearing walls made of KS masonry. Non-load-bearing interior walls are constructed as lightweight plasterboard walls.
